The continuous training of teachers for the education of students with academic talent currently represents a challenge, to achieve this purpose requires training teachers who have the knowledge and skills to enable them to provide students with a quality education, according to their needs. The present work deals with reflections and conceptions for the practice of academic attention to students with academic talent in Secondary Basic Education, the main aspects that must be taken into account in the continuous training of teachers, the importance of collaborative work and the changes that are needed in educational institutions in order to offer an adapted response to the potentialities and needs of these students.
