Distance education (EaD) in Latin America is expanding with the support of various pedagogical models and information and communication technologies (ICT), the diversity of university academic offers at a distance has been strengthened with the management platforms of the Learning (Learning Management System, LMS), using non-commercial free access digital educational resources. The majority of DL has been developed in continuing education training (51%), followed by postgraduate programs (36%) and less frequently at the undergraduate level (13%), this hierarchy responds to the financial factor (cost) the assembly of the infrastructure to integrate ICT in the teaching-learning process, where the undergraduate in many countries is free and the cost of virtualization can not be transferred to the students. The LMS (Moodle and web 2.0 tools) have allowed to disseminate and create knowledge in collaboration, within a virtual environment of teaching and learning (EVEA), The EVEA have become the support of the universities for the EaD to be consolidated as a educational model of increasing demand, which houses audiovisual, multimedia and hypertext material that allows students to construct knowledge asynchronously flexible.
