The implementation of cooperative learning as a teaching method in the educational units of the Imbabura province of Ecuador from the perspective of educators is a need for schools to face the challenges that the education system demands today. The search for methodological didactic tools becomes a training tool for current education. This article deals with the process and the results of the research project developed by teachers of the UTN, with a diagnosis and current status of this problem. The process followed, the methodology used and the results focus on the lack of a theoretical-methodological body to direct the teaching process the current situation of this important process with emphasis on the postgraduate improvement of teachers in the subject.
