The integrative conception for the evaluation of the impact of substantive processes in universities integrates, in a coherent and systemic manner, among others, the distinctive characteristics of the development of the training, research and extension components. Its implementation, as part of the quality management system, allows institutions to establish continuous improvement actions so that the formation of human capital and knowledge may lead to the social transformation to which they aspire. In this sense, the objective of this research is to determine the relationship between professional training and the quality of learning at the Autonomous Regional University of the Andes. Descriptive, explanatory and quantitative research was used; among the techniques for data collection, visual observation, documentary review, interviews and two models of questionnaires are used to investigate aspects related to professional training and quality of learning; statistical reliability tests are performed on the instruments developed; descriptive statistics for the analysis of the variables involved, inferential for the correlation of variables and frequency distribution by means of statistical tables and figures. The main results obtained in this study are associated with the relationship established between professional training (teaching, research and postgraduate) and the quality of learning.
