In a face-to-face class the teacher uses words and paralinguistic functions to transmit the message, communication is transmitted 7% through words and 93% through non-verbal resources. What happens with non-verbal communication in a virtual environment, do students listen actively, are virtual classrooms limited to being repositories of content or are they interactive spaces? The objective of the study is to answer these questions from the perspective of the students of the Universidad Regional Autónoma de Los Andes, Santo Domingo campus, in the first quarter of 2021, from these results recommendations are established for better interaction, communication and application of knowledge.
