The article presents the result of an investigation with a predominantly qualitative methodological approach, in which systematization was used as a method, combined with the analysis of documents, sessions and in-depth interviews with teachers, tutors and students. The data obtained allowed the authors to characterize the creative mode of action of future agricultural engineers from the professional training process. A distinction is made between the fundamental features that condition the formation of the aforementioned mode of action: the integration of systems of knowledge, skills and values ​​of the object of science and the profession and the stimulation of the phases of the creative process. All this in order to ensure that the graduate of the Agronomy career is able to manage the different agricultural processes with an innovative perspective, to seek solutions to the productive, economic and social problems of the agricultural community in a sustainable manner, from the use of existing local resources in the agricultural ecosystem. For the theoretical validation of the proposal, the expert criterion method was used.
