A clinicotherapeutic trial was performed in 160 patients with acute extranosocomial inflammatory non-tuberculous pneumophaties admited to The Internal Medicine Service of "Saturnino Lora" Provincial teachining hospital. Two group with 120 subjects who were make a comparison: a control groups with 120 subjects who were treated in a tradicional way, and a study group with 40 subjects who ecived treatment according to the schemes proposed in the new project of work. The evaluation included pharmacotherapeutic and biologic criteria and significant differences were obtained recording the quality of medical care between both groups, in favour of the second group, where a higher therapeutic effeciency and a lower mortality rate were attained (31. 66 and 17.5 %, respectively). A high level of nonfulfilment in regard to the adequate use of antibiotics was detected.
