Resumen

ROUSSEAU GONZALEZ, Georgina; COLLAZO BORREGO, Lucas Enrique  y  BORBOLLA BUSQUETS, Elvira. Activación linfocitaria en portadores del virus de la hepatitis B. Rev cubana med [online]. 2000, vol.39, n.1, pp. 30-34. ISSN 1561-302X.

It is known that the evolution of acute and chronic viral hepatitis B is particularly related to the cellular immune response of the host. The functional status of lymphocytes T was characterized carriers of HVB, whereas the lymphoblastic activation was studied in 13 asymptomatic carriers and in 23 patients with active chronic hepatitis with and without viral replication determined by the presence of antigen e in the studied sample. The following variables were analyzed: spontaneous activation-phytohemagglutinin-stimulated activation.stimulation index. No significant differences were found between the study group and the control group as regards the studied variables. Therefore, it was concluded that the behaviour in connection with its spontaneous and stimulated activation in an unspecific way is normal in both groups, independently of the presence or absence of antigen e. The viral replication did not alter the lymphocytary function of the studied variables.
