The male sex, the oldest patient, the kidney damage produced by polycystic kidneys and glumerolopathies, hyperglycemia on the TI (first day of transplant), obesity and the use of high doses of steroids and cyclosporin-A (CsA) were more frequently observed in the group with PTDM and were statistically significant on comparing them with the control group.
