JIMENEZ ARTEAGA, María Caridad et al. Agronomic response of the California Wonder pepper to the Quitomax application. Ctro. Agr. [online]. 2018, vol.45, n.2, pp. 40-46. ISSN 0253-5785.

ABSTRACT The work was developed with the objective of evaluating the agronomic response of the pepper variety California Wonder, to the application of different doses of QuitoMax at the time of flowering in a Basic Unit of Agricultural Production, municipality Yara, between days 9 February and March 14, 2016. The doses were applied foliarly at the beginning of flowering. The applied product has a concentration of 4 g 200 ml-1, whose active principle is chitosan, the treatments were: T1 - 200 mg ha-1, T2 - 250 mg ha-1, T3 - 300 mg ha-1, T4 - 350 mg ha-1, T5 - Control. For the evaluations, 25 plants were selected by treatments to evaluate: number of fruits per plants at the moment of massive fruiting and at harvest of the first fruits. In addition, the following measurements were made in four crops: length of the fruit, diameter of the fruit, mass of the fruits, weight of the seeds, thickness of the mesocarp, agricultural yield and economic valuation. To evaluate the data, ANOVA of simple classification was used and the mean multiple comparison tests were performed by Tukey. The results allowed determining that 350 mg ha-1 (treatment 4) is the best dose, with a yield of 40.8 t ha-1
