Information management is the process aimed at supplying the resources required for decision making, as well as to improve the process, products and services related to the organization. For the purpose of showing the influence of information management in the development and strengthening of the toxicological centers in the American continent, a review was carried out on the application of this tool in toxicological centers and toxicology networks. Due to the importance of the anti-toxin centers in the area, the awareness about the week and strong points of information management in them will allow to work on the elimination of difficulties with the aim of improving the role played by toxicological centers in the area.
