Mean and the standard deviation were calculated for the quantitative variables which comparison was carried out by means of the t Student test, and the absolute and relative frequencies for the qualitative variables, with established associations by means of the Chi-square test. The hidden morbidity of metabolic syndrome was of 51.1%, and of these patients affected 43.6% had an ischemic cardiopathy, so that it concluded that this syndrome is very frequent in aged adults with diabetes mellitus type 2.
