Every year about three million health workers undergo percutaneous bloodborne pathogens incidents, and most of them are preventable. In recent decades there has been growing emphasis on health and safety for health workers as well as the awareness of a quality health care depends on a safe working environment. the need of reporting accidents, incidents, and injuries from blood exposure, other body fluids, and sharps objects in health workers is highly important, as to guarantee the accident investigation, timely care to the injured and monitoring elements which minimize the impact on health and provide useful information for prevention and control of these events, especially if they are set in a monitoring system, as an effective tool for occupational health.
