Resumen

HERNANDEZ MANSILLA, Alexis A et al. Chemical Control of Fungi Pathogens in Nursery Phase Pineapple (I). Fitosanidad [online]. 2010, vol.14, n.1, pp. 31-37. ISSN 1818-1686.

The efficacy of fungicide treatments to control pathogens that affect the cultivation of pineapple in field nurseries was assessed in Pineapple Enterprise of Ciego de Avila province of Cuba, for which stems of variety Smooth Cayenne Serrana were planted in quarry in a random block. Fungicide metalaxyl at doses of 1 g a.i./L alone and at 0.75 g a.i./L in mixtures with triazols triadimenol at 0.5 g a.i./L; propiconazole, tebuconazole, hexaconazol a dosage of 0.05 g a.i./L and metiran at 3 g a.i./L were tested. It was found that variants exert a protection time over than 30 days, the most effective were triadimenol with 76.2%, mixture of metalaxyl+propiconazole and metalaxyl+tebuconazole with 84.2%, and also metalaxyl and metalaxyl+triadimenol with efficiencies of 78.9 and 73.6%, respectively, without significant differences between them. Treatments based on mixtures of metalaxyl with triazoles were effective in controlling diseases caused by Fusarium subglutinans, Phytophthora nicotianae and Chalara paradoxa present in this crop, these allows having a group of broad-spectrum fungicide products for the integrated management system in the nursery phase.

Palabras clave : pineapple; fungicides; Phytophthora nicotianae; Chalara paradoxa; Fusarium subglutinans.
