The Cuban power grid investments (state maintenance, new services, enhancements or withdrawals) are made by Investments Groups of Provincial Electricity Companies. Any of those needs a project, to calculate the budget needed to carry out the work. Currently the process is being affected by several drawbacks, resulting in failure at the time of rendering the services. The Company of Information and Auto Technologies develops a large information system called Integrated Network Management System which controls, simulates and automates all components and actions taken on the transmission and distribution networks. As part of this system was developed a Module of Electric Plans designed to automate the work of the designers. The final result of the work is the files that contain all budget calculation. Different program options are developed to organize the information, avoid unrealistic project planning and standardize procedures across the country
