Resumen
VIDAL-MENDEZ, Eugenio; DIAZ-SCHERY, Carlos Alejandro y MARRERO-FORNARIS, Clara Elena. Assessing aquifer responses on a local scale adapting regional hydrogeoelectric model. Min. Geol. [online]. 2021, vol.37, n.3, pp. 333-346. Epub 30-Sep-2021. ISSN 1993-8012.
A new method based on equations that establish functional relationships between geoelectric properties and hydrogeological parameters that allow modeling the performance of hydrogeological average properties, both at regional and local scale, is presented. Regionalized mean values of electrical resistivity obtained by vertical electrical soundings are used and the geostatistical method is applied. With this method, it is possible to estimate the velocity and direction of groundwater flow, as well as the depth of the ceiling of artesian aquifers without resorting to traditional drilling and gauging methods, which has a positive economic and environmental impact.
