Over the last few years, Cuba's Ministries of Labor and Social Security and of Finance and Prices voted resolutions aimed at increasing labor productivity in Cuban government-owned companies. In this paper, shortcomings of regulations on giving a reward for economic efficiency are examined. Regarding this subject several proposals are made in terms of succeeding in getting reward to have a greater impact on companies' profit, employees, and the Cuban tax system.
