Resumen

LINARES GUERRA, Elisa Maritza et al. Methodology for community environmental diagnosis for research purposes from the academic postgraduate. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.4, pp. 309-319.  Epub 02-Ago-2021. ISSN 2218-3620.

The present work has the purpose of providing a methodology for the community environmental diagnosis with investigative purposes, aimed at academic postgraduate students linked to environmental management. A technological development investigation was carried out with the use of theoretical and empirical methods. The methodologies used to carry out environmental diagnosis in communities are varied, all with a process and system character. The methodology was structured in six stages: 1. identification of information needs; 2. definition of the sources of information, methods, procedures and techniques; 3. design of the formats for the collection of information, 4. determination of the size of the sample to be surveyed or interviewed, 5. collection, processing and analysis of the information and 6. conclusion of the environmental diagnosis. Each stage includes a sequence of actions or procedures with a logical and specific order. Its validation using the expert assessment method confirmed the reliability of the assessment instrument (Cronbach's alpha = 0.84) and agreement between the experts (p = 0.004 in Kendall's W test). It is concluded that the proposal from its theoretical and methodological conception is adequate and will contribute to the research preparation of academic postgraduate students linked to environmental management.
