The general objective of the study was to determine the factors that affect the entrepreneurship of the elderly in the districts of Lima Norte, while the specific objectives were the following: to determine the entrepreneurship by necessity in the elderly; determine entrepreneurship by opportunity in elderly people; determine entrepreneurship by independence in elderly people and determine entrepreneurship by capacity for innovation in elderly people. Regarding the methodological structure, the study was developed with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design and a cross-sectional descriptive level. The population was considered unknown, so a probabilistic sampling was carried out, where a sample of 400 elderly people from the districts of Comas, Carabayllo and San Martin de Porres, who also had a business in operation, was obtained. The technique used was the survey and the instrument was the questionnaire, which was structured with 22 questions referring to the variable and its dimensions. The collected data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, by calculating absolute and relative frequencies, to finally establish the respective conclusions.
