Resumen

SAEZ CARRIERA, Rolando; SUAREZ PALACIOS, Juan Carlos; ORDONEZ BALLADARES, Andrea Dolores  y  GUZMAN GALLARDO, Héctor Gonzalo. The dissemination of scientific research results by the students of the University of Guayaquil. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.5, pp. 441-450.  Epub 30-Oct-2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

Scientific results are the contributions resulting from the research activity which employs scientific procedures and methods in the search for solutions to theoretical and practical problems. The dissemination of scientific results is an element of significant importance in the students' research training process. The scientific article presents the results of the self-evaluation of the process of socialization of scientific results by the students of the Pilot Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences of the University of Guayaquil. The scientific socialization of the students that make up the research sample is below its potential, due to the scarce theoretical and practical knowledge in scientific writing, and the scarce margin of generation of new knowledge. The self-assessment of the process of socialization of scientific results by the students evidences the need to generate new spaces to strengthen scientific-academic training and socialize the results. The evaluations related to the socialization of scientific results through publications, as well as through other events and congresses that do not constitute the technology fair are generally not very significant, which evidences the need to generate other available and accessible spaces so that students can make known to the scientific community the research results they have achieved.
