Resumen

BERMEJO ALTAMAR, Fabio Andrés; CABELLO ERAS, Juan José  y  CORREA SOTO, Jenny. Energy diagnosis as an element of municipal energy management in Colombia: case study municipality of Sabanalarga. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.6, pp. 378-387.  Epub 30-Dic-2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

The article focuses on establishing the energy diagnosis of the municipality of Sabanalarga (Atlántico) - Colombia, in order to determine its consumption, significant uses of energy, energy flows, indicators by sector and by persons, to establish the initial energy review proposed by the ISO 50 001: 2018 standard and thus design and implement a municipal energy management system in the short term. The results, when compared with national and international indicators, show the lack of industrialization of the municipality, the use of inefficient energy systems such as firewood and a high consumption of electricity per capita promoted by the low level of savings culture and use of energy. This energy diagnosis will give the municipal authorities the necessary indicators to make decisions related to policies, programs and municipal energy planning in order to improve municipal performance through the implementation of energy saving programs, efficient systems and seek sources of generation to through non-conventional renewable resources to diversify the matrix of the municipality.
