The objective of this research was to determine how EE and social responsibility are related in the universities of the Madre de Dios region, Peru. To do this, a quantitative approach was used with a non-experimental and descriptive - cross-correlational design. The sample consisted of 354 university students who responded to the Environmental Education Questionnaire and the University Social Responsibility Questionnaire, instruments with adequate levels of validity based on content and reliability. According to the perception of the students, the implementation of environmental education and the way in which university social responsibility was carried out was regular. Likewise, it was determined that the Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient between both variables was 0.656 with a p-value below the level of significance (p<0.05). It was concluded that there is a direct and significant relationship between EE and USR in the universities of the Madre de Dios region, Peru. Therefore, it is necessary for universities to design institutional policies that favor the implementation of EE through USR projects. In this way, it will be possible to raise awareness among the population, it will facilitate the reduction of polluting practices and the development of behaviors that threaten the conservation of nature.
