Managing the factors that influence local innovation systems is a way to guide Cuban locations into development processes. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to analyze innovation management based on the influence of certain factors in nine goods and services companies from very important sectors, in the province of Camaguey, Cuba. Descriptive statistics was used in the study, and instrument reliability was evaluated through Cronbach's alpha and analysis of principal components. Some insufficiencies were identified in the local system of innovation management. Their incidence in the results of innovation was identified. Hence, it was essential to identify the links or relationships, and change the management approach. The current way of planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling the process of innovation is below the expectations for the new Cuban Economic and Social Model, and the local potential.
