Resumen

DE LA LASTRA RODRIGUEZ, Joaquín L. Midazolan-Tiopental: compatibilidad y sinergismo farmacológico en anestesia pediátrica. Rev Cubana Cir [online]. 1996, vol.35, n.1, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-2945.

The administration of thiopental has been recommended to complete anesthetic induction, when the dose of midazolam has not been sufficient; moreover, the sinergistic effect between both drugs is well know. The aim of this work was to analize the advantage of this induction technique in a group of 25 pediatric patients, with the use of a dose of 0.3 mg/kg midazolam and 2.5 mg/kg thiopental. Results were satisfactory and the absence or decrease of arterial hypertensive response after direct laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation was observed. The maintenance of anesthesia was guaranteed by mixing nitrous oxide and intermittent doses of fentanyl

Palabras clave : THIOPENTAL; MIDAZOLAM; DRUG SINERGYSM; ANESTHESIAINTRATRACHEAL.
