Resumen

BELLO FERNANDEZ, Nilda Lucrecia. Curricular design in correspondance with the occupational profiles of the graduates. Rev Cubana Enfermer [online]. 2005, vol.21, n.1, pp. 1-1. ISSN 1561-2961.

The training of nursing human resources has been developed at two different educational levels: the secondary and the tertiary or university. There has been a different methodological hierarchy, management, and availability of facilities and resources. The new pedagogical method put into practice all over the country since the academic course 2003-2004 comprises both teachings in order to guarantee the training of the human resources demanded by the National Health System. The appearing of the emerging plans as a prioritized social program requires a redimensioning of the technical and higher education, and it is at the same time a challenge for the medical sciences university. The aim of this paper is to explain the premises, foundations and profiles of the basic, technical and professional nursing training, elements that are the basis of the general structure of the curricular design and the teaching strategy, where the training of the basic, technical and professional nurse are found in 3 cycles at the third level of education by means of a continuing training. The nurse trained in this way will certainly improve the health services quality, which determines the pertinent character of this new pedagogical model. A documental review of the topic was made. It was concluded that there is an insertion between the technical and higher level in only one model where the basic, technical and higher profiles are included.

Palabras clave : Occupational profiles; functions.
