Resumen

ARRANZ POZO, Juan Carlos; DEBESA FERNANDEZ, Raúl; ESCOBAR DEL CAMPO, Martha  y  PLA DEL TORO, María Josefa. Neuropsychological assesment in patients with acute lymphocytic leukemia at remission. AMC [online]. 1997, vol.1, n.1, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1025-0255.

A study was performed in carrier patients of Acute Lymphocytic Leukaemia in full continue remission, with a minimum of four years and two years or more without treatment to determine the presence of subclinic lesions in the Central Nervous System. Neurophysical examinations, neurophysiological, psychological and imaging studies were carried out. Results proved that although patients had a normal physical examination, there was at least one abnormal test. The highest diagnostic sensitivity was obtained in the psychological studies (100%), followed by neurophysiological ones (60%) and the A.C.T. of simple cranium (20%). A more complete assessment was achieved with psychological and neurophysiological studies together with the imaging studies. Greater affection percent was found in the gray matter than in the white one of the Central Nervous System.

Palabras clave : LEUKEMIA LYNPHOCYTIC ACUTE; NEUROPSYCHOLOGY.
