A descriptive, longitudinal and retrospective research was carried out in patients with ectopic pregnancy diagnosis in Ana Betancourt de Mora Infant­Matenity Provincial Hospital within the period from Junuary 1 st to December 31s t , 1996 to determine in the studied patients diagnosis mistakes staded initially with different diseases in relation with the level of case in which they were assessed, as well stressing those who received medical treatment and those remitted to other level of case, or discharged from other centres. The study universe was composed of 119 patients carriers of ectopic pregnancy, 16 of them received initial medical treatment and 8 were remitted to other centre. It is important to note that 10 patients were assessed in the Provincial Hospital receiving out­patients medical treatment and 15 patients were discharged from this institution with different diagnosis. Pelvic inflamation was the most significant diagnosis criterium with 21, followed by metrorrhagia with. It is noteworthy the consideration that 47% of women received medical case at different levels with wrong diagnostic criterio and 12, 6% were discharged from the Provincial Maternity Hospital.
