A case -control paired 1:1 study carried out with the aim of determining cutaneous sensitivity to mites for exposition in the habitual environment in asthmatic patients who attended to the clinical allergology consultation at Manuel Ascunce Domenech Provincial Hospital of Camagüey from January 2002, in a sample composed of 100 sick and 100 healthy who were used as control. To the total of patiens included in the investigation, according to selection criterio, immediate skin tosts were performed by the prick technique, we use as antigens samples a miltes Der pteronyssims, Der fariane, Der microceras, Blomia tropicalis, Euroglyphus mayneir, Tyrophagus putrescentere, Acarus siru and Lepidoglyphus destructor at a concentration of 100 HEP/ml. It was observed prevalenve of bronchial asthma in the feminine sex in the age group from 15-24 years. Heritage showed a significant influence in the asthma appearance. Rhinitis was the allergic to mites in asthmatic patients was high. Mites with higher positivity were. Der peteronyssinus, Lepidoglyphus destructor and blomia tropicalis Der peteronyssinus showed statistically significant difference as to the diameter of the papule compared to the rest of mites.
