An appraisal of a surgically intervened patient was carried out 15 years ago, at the peripheral tumors service of the Oncology Hospital of Camagüey, 58-years-old, male, white race, agricultural worker with health antecedents, by presenting tumor illness of major salivary gland, the one is clinically diagnosed as a malignant neoplasia of right submaxillary gland with cervical metastasis, for which is planned in the conduct to be follow, surgical exeresis of the gland with radical dissection of the homolateral hemineck, three weeks after his inscription in the center. The biopsy of the primary tumor diagnosed a malignant melanoma with metastasis in cervical ganglion. It was administered him chemotherapy treatment, dacarbazine and cisplatin, according to the planned scheme, after the surgical intervention. The clinical evolution during all the elapsed time until the present and survival of 15 years, showed that followed conduct was the correct one therefore all the available resources were utilized.
