The airside performance of compact heat exchanger with slit fins having one row of tubes is investigated in this study using computational fluid dynamics. A numerical approach was implemented and it was certified using correlations of published literature. The objective was to obtain the thermal-hydraulic behavior for different fin pitches while ranging the Reynolds number from 400 to 1800. The influence on heat transfer coefficient, fin efficiency and heat flux was found. It is observed to be a function of the fin pitch, which is at its best when the offset strips of one fin have the same distance to the ones of the opposite arranged strips as to that fin plate. Was found, for each fin pitch,a peak in the fin efficiency as a function of the inlet velocity.
