The present investigation approaches elements from the theoretical point of view related to the pedagogical formation in the professors of the Medicine career in Ecuador that makes possible an exercise in tune with the social demands in the country in the process of formation of the professionals of said area. Currently, one of the strongest claims made to higher education institutions and their teachers is the improvement of their performance, and for that, mastery of the elements that make up the pedagogical sciences is essential as a guarantee of a constant qualification of its pedagogical management both in the university institution and in the personal order. The objective of this research is to analyze bibliographic references on pedagogical training of teachers of Medicine and its main trends, specifically in Ecuador.
