This article is the result of a research project whose main objective was to determine the degree of immersion of the Dominican universities in the digital age. Fieldwork, which spanned the 32 institutions of the Dominican university system was performed. Describe the Dominican university system, origin, structure and organization and addresses the knowledge society, indicators of the digital age, the information society and knowledge.
