The curriculum of the higher technician's studies in Ecuadorian nursing, includes at present diverse curricular strategies of interdisciplinary coordination which didn't exist before and which inclusion requires of the functioning of structures dealing with its planning, in correspondence to the traditional pyramidal organization of academic management. The objective is to educate the male nurses, so that they incorporate, in their professional practice, the work of prevention as part of the curricular content; however, lacks are evidenced in the training process, which occasionally, is characterized by formal and schematic methods, without opening the necessary and indispensable space to carry out the preventive work. The use of the analysis-synthesis and logical-historical methods allowed to systematize budgets around the development of the preventive medicine and the link with community
