Since I started my curricular activities as a professor, 44 years ago; I purposed the quest of how to give the student the essential and necessary of each topic in General Surgery. I should accomplish to objectives to create a General Integral Physician with the essential elements of the specialty and at the same time, those elements prove useful as a primary health care physician. This quest encounters a response in the works of Professor Coro Godoy in connection with the Invariables of Knowledge (KI). In this work, defining the term, I place the IK in the teaching process and make suggestions as how to use it. So far, I have elaborated the IK in six topics of my subject and its practical applications have proven satisfactory even when at the beginning we had to rectify method mistakes and to give solutions to special situations. I expose methods which justify its application, I alert that it is not a simplistic method and that is not against educating the student in the recent advances in science and medicine.
