RODRIGUEZ SANCHEZ, Yaima; RODRIGUEZ PEREZ, Ofelia  y  GARCIA NAVARRO, Xiomara. The globalized reading as a method of learning literacy in children with autism spectrum disorder. An alternative to the inclusion. Conrado [online]. 2018, vol.14, n.63, pp. 274-278.  Epub 08-Jun-2018. ISSN 1990-8644.

One of the most difficult skills a student faces is learning to read and to write. If the necessary conditions do not exist to assume the process, the scholar will be exposed to failure, fear, anxiety, and frustration which will undermine successful learning. It is opportune, then, to select methods of teaching that are appropriate to the scholar. The process of learning literacy in schoolchildren with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a challenge because of the communicative, psychopedagogical and behavioural peculiarities they present. In the present work the conceptions about this process in the framework of attention to the students with ASD with emphasis in the method of Globalized Reading as a way are exposed.
