The period of school adaptation represents a great social, emotional and psychological challenge for the child, during this period it is important that there is support among the institution, the teachers and the parents, hence the objective of this research is to describe the process of school adaptation in children with overprotection problems in the Initial Education Center of the Mixed Fiscal School "Brethren", located in the sector of Carapungo, Calderón District 2. The study was framed in a field investigation of descriptive level. The information was collected through the technique of the survey and the instrument was two questionnaires, each structured in 15 items of multiple alternatives (always, sometimes, never), one directed to parents and others to teachers. The analysis of the information showed that there is a direct relationship between overprotection and school adaptation that manifests itself essentially from the affective and psychological point of view on the part of the children.
