The main demands that a combat of Judo presents in the initiation stage, allow the characterization of this sport, in order to demand the application of efficient methodologies for the technical-tactical preparation of the Judo players. In this article the different external and internal aspects are described that condition the sport confrontation in the stage of initiation of the Judo player, for each one of the performance spheres: Judo up and Judo to the floor, without seeking to define them as unique, but as integral of the wide variety of factors that at the present time, contribute to the teaching of Judo in the initiation stage.
