Developing a high informational culture in sports teachers is of vital importance for the development of skills in the management and recovery of scientific information. To achieve this purpose, they must be able to diagnose their information needs, as well as locate, analyze and socialize the results of the search of information in different repositories and databases. The article aims to: propose methodological actions for sports teachers that allow them to raise the information culture and incorporate the dimensions of sustainable development to the process of school sports initiation. Using various methods, among those found at the theoretical level: analystic-synthetic, historical-logical, inductive-deductive and modeling, which allowed to verify the reality of the existing problem. There were analized too, the main concepts and definitions related to the informational culture and each of the dimensions of sustainable development. Among the empirical methods used are the review of documents, scientific observation, among others. During its application, it was found that there are no actions that contribute to the incorporation of issues related to the dimensions of sustainable development linked to the process of school sports initiation.
