This article is related to some topics about peace and education for peace, the first one connected with the classroom as scenario itself. It calls the attention the fact that in Colombia several regulations have been established to promote the respect for human rights and peace among people, and sometimes these rules cannot be included in the students’ curricula. The State has contributed to this inclusion promoting curricular lines especially in terms of peaceful coexistence and some other guidelines to implement this education for peace. Educators must conduct this process, within their student´s learning and every day’s practice at schools, without leaving aside the participation of administrators, parents and using a democrat and participative approach with a suitable situation and a concrete story. Education for peace and citizen formation are in search of a learning and peace environment for women and men to be more creative, pacific, inclusive, and democratic, to practice the respect and tolerance, to stop the violent history of the country, that have lasted for decades and centuries.
