In a world in constant evolution, which requires highly qualified and comprehensive professionals, higher education is the ideal space in the process of theoretical and practical training. In this sense, university education brings practical knowledge and professional skills to students in the shortest possible time. Dual training as a model is today one of the most accepted by the international scientific community to achieve greater comprehensiveness among graduates of study centers. It proposes practical as well as theoretical training, without losing sight of the advantages of the traditional model. The present article is aimed at evaluating the main characteristics of said process in the Universities. The educational elements that are valued are beginning to be implemented in Ecuador, on regulations created for this purpose. The assessment delves into the basic characteristics for its implementation, its main actors and what are the main elements for its implementation.
