Resumen

PERASSI, Mónica Patricia  y  OCHOA ALMANZA, Juana Marcela. The discourse of "being women” in the Duitama of the mid-20th century. Conrado [online]. 2021, vol.17, n.81, pp. 102-111.  Epub 02-Ago-2021. ISSN 1990-8644.

Gender has been constructed as a category of analysis based on Scott's postulates. From there, the structural elements of each society take on particular relevance in the construction of sexually differentiated subjects. In this dynamic, normative discourses take on special importance in the historical analysis of contexts. Based on the above, this work analyzed the discourses promoted by education, understanding that it was the fusion of the political, the religious and the cultural, during the decades from 1920 to 1970 in the municipality of Duitama-Colombia. For this purpose, a qualitative and quantitative discourse analysis was carried out, which made it possible to establish the feminine "should be" of each era. The results reaffirmed the direct association between gender, femininity and motherhood, as well as the recognition of care as a social contribution of women in the community. The novelty of this work comes from the recognition of the differences and the formation of the women of Duitama. This, because it proposes an intersectional view that allows to evidence the invisibilization of certain types of women despite the need for them in the dynamics of production and reproduction.

Palabras clave : Gender; normative discourses; intersectionality; Duitama.
