The objective of this systematic review was to analyze the consequences of nomophobia in adolescents. The PRISMA methodology was used for the study, the search for articles was in SCOPUS, EBSCO, PUBMED, SPRINGER and others, the search period was 2019-2020. Of the 135 articles related to the topic, only 19 were considered for the study. analysis. In the exclusion process, the titles, abstracts, methodologies and duplications were analyzed, articles that did not include the variable to be analyzed, articles that were not indexed, or those articles that did not have the age range of adolescents were also excluded. The results indicate that adolescents are presenting behavioral problems, they spend many hours on the cell phone and this is damaging the academic performance of students; depression, anxiety, and poor diet are related to nomophobia. To conclude, the female gender is more prone to dependence, which is why there is a lack of research that analyzes the relationship between gender and nomophobia.
