Emotional intelligence is described as a set of skills aimed at the typification, assessment, manifestation and monitoring of emotions and a practical directing of emotions that promote, planning and facilitate the processes of both thought and problem solving. The main purpose of this work is to analyze the research on Emotional Intelligence at the business level to determine the trend in Ecuadorian universities, as the methods used is induction and deduction, supported by the application of the synthesis and analysis of the information collected by means of investigative techniques, among the main results is the determination of a decrease in the tendency of the investigative works carried out in the country's universities.
