The importance of pedagogical studies is indisputable in today's technological university where some scholars are structuring the teacher and the student as two different worlds. The objective is to assess whether pedagogy as a science in the university is relevant to research in education on the formation of men for their profession. The type of research is based on an exploratory scope with an observational and analytical nature based on a retrospective study of the examined topic through interpretation and comparison. The main result has been the comparison between Pedagogy and Andragogy. It is concluded that the education of man as a unique human being, of a socio-biological nature from childhood to adulthood is the object of study of General Pedagogy.
