The organizational culture can be understood as the construction process tempered to the new times and the constant transformation that higher education is going through worldwide. It is developed in the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Matanzas; its objective is to carry out an analysis of the culture of values in the Industrial Engineering career of the University of Matanzas. The theoretical methods used were analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction, and empirical methods: documentary review, bibliometric analysis, work with experts, questionnaire, perception importance matrix, complemented with computer tools such as Microsoft Excel, IBM SPSS Statistics 22 and the EndNote X8 bibliographic manager. Bibliometric maps are obtained, an analysis of the main indicators from the ScienceDirect search, the value system that must integrate the organizational culture in the Industrial Engineering department is determined, defined and classified and the most important values are determined and less perceived in the culture of students and teachers, which are loyalty, responsibility, creativity, critical - self-critical, patriotism and solidarity. The leadership with quality of values in the institutions of higher education allows to rethink the university to make it more fair, relevant and affordable.
