The challenges of university professional training require competent teachers who achieve relevant learning, however; the didactic competences of teachers and their implication on learning outcomes are unknown. Therefore, the main objective of the research was to determine the relationship between didactic skills and learning outcomes, for this; it was necessary to analyze the didactic competences and their level of knowledge of the teachers, to describe the importance of the didactic competences in the learning outcomes and to establish the relationship between both study variables. In this regard, 90 students and 49 teachers from the Daniel Alcides Carrión National University, Peru answered the questionnaire of 20 questions, which was previously validated; obtaining 0.947 as a result according to Pearson's correlation coefficient, which shows a very high positive correlation, therefore; didactic competences are related and determine the learning outcomes in students.
