Resumen

TORRES-ZAPATA, Ángel Esteban et al. Influential learning styles for the development of clinical practices, in university students in the health area. Conrado [online]. 2023, vol.19, n.91, pp. 54-61.  Epub 30-Abr-2023. ISSN 1990-8644.

The cognitive process is created in the mind of man through the transformation of experience. Kolb's theory establishes that there are four styles or patterns to learn, namely, active, reflective, theoretical and pragmatic. Students in the area of health, have a theoretical-practical training during their studies, therefore, it is important that teachers have information on the type of learning, for adequate didactic planning that allows the mobilization of the different knowledge (theoretical, practical and training). The objective of this work was defined, to determine the learning styles during hospital practices, of students in the health area. In the quantitative approach study with a non-experimental design, convenience sampling was used to apply the Kolb Learning Styles Inventory to 100 students, with a mean age of 21 years, 80% being female; it was observed that, in relation to learning styles, 10.0% are of the accommodating type, 15.0% divergent, 60.0% convergent and 15.0% assimilator. Identifying the learning styles that converge in the classroom will help teachers to improve the design of teaching strategies.
