One of the greatest threats to human life on earth is the felling of trees, this activity that involves stripping the planet bare. In the last seventeen years or so, more than 2.3 million square kilometers have been logged, most of which have not been replanted. The present investigation proposes to carry out educational actions to avoid the felling of trees, creating awareness of environmental care in the inhabitants of the canton of Babahoyo and in the rulers. For its development, theoretical and empirical methods were used, conducting a survey of a sample of 50 residents of one of the areas affected by this phenomenon. Among the most significant results, it is shown that the residents are not in favor of this act, and that demand the attention of those responsible for governance to enforce what is established in Ecuadorian laws. Procuring the good development of life in harmony as proposed in the Sumak Kawsay, for which the urgent need for educational actions was demonstrated.
