Resumen

CHULCO LEMA, Byron Javier  y  ESPINOSA PICO, Pablo Ermely. Educational influence of ethnic affirmative actions policies in Ecuador. Conrado [online]. 2023, vol.19, n.92, pp. 467-475.  Epub 10-Jun-2023. ISSN 1990-8644.

The ethnic affirmative action policy has a great educational influence in higher education. These policies seek to guarantee equal access to higher education for ethnic groups that have historically been marginalized and discriminated against, such as the black and indigenous population. Through these policies, it seeks to promote diversity in educational institutions and foster an inclusive environment for all students. In addition, ethnic affirmative actions can contribute to improving the quality of education, as they allow talented and motivated students who would not otherwise have access to higher education to develop their potential and contribute to society in a meaningful way. Experience has shown the need to include intercultural association groups in all educational systems, to strengthen coexistence and improve the rate of permanence of indigenous students in the university. In this regard, an investigative analysis of the application of affirmative actions in educational systems was developed with the objective of knowing if the State's objective of guaranteeing conditions of equality and equity has been fulfilled.
