ALFONSO HIDALGO, Anayda; ZAMORA RODRIGUEZ, Luis  y  AGUILA MOYA, Oscar. Pharmacology and Medical Computing Interdisciplinary work for the improvement of the students´ investigations. EDUMECENTRO [online]. 2016, vol.8, n.2, pp. 121-133. ISSN 2077-2874.

Background: the improvement of the implementation of the curricular strategies in an interdisciplinary way fosters the developing action of the participant disciplines. Objective: to characterize the difficulties found in the researching final works of the third year students through the interdisciplinary work between Pharmacology and Medical Computing. Methods: it was carried out a descriptive study in Villa Clara University of Medical Sciences; the object of analysis comprised 39 researching final reports of the subject Pharmacology II, which were elaborated by the third year students, during the sixth semester of three academic years (2010-2011, 2011-2012 and 2012-2013). The revision process was carried out through workshops and group work. The statistical test U of Mann-Whitney was used for the comparison of the results of the courses. Results: a considerable number of difficulties prevailed in the reports of the evaluated paragraphs and the previous investigations didn't contribute to the decrease of the number of errors. The greatest percents were found in: the setting of the objectives, the summary, the introduction and the methodological design. A very discreet improvement was observed when comparing the results in the three analyzed courses. Conclusions: the necessity of inserting the Curricular Strategy of researching and Computing inside each subject, disciplines and out of the curriculum is corroborated since the first years of the career, through the early identification of the topic and an appropriate tutorial orientation.
